Constrained Lines Question
-
For years in AI, I can create a polygon with straight sides and at constrained angles using the shift key and the pen tool.
Why, when using VS, can't I do the same ? If I use the pen tool, click a point then shift click the next (or next) point, I end up with curved lines (no pen movement during clicking) ??
I also don't get any inferencing from any of the other points for alignment - even when going directly over that point.I'm guessing that there is a preference for this, but can't find it, nor a method in the manual.
Apologies for my aged ignorance (at least I'm putting it down to age LOL)

Ahh - nailed it, thanks
I was looking for something in the context panel, but that doesn't show until after you have started drawing - it might be better if the trigger for that happened when the pen is selected ? Maybe there's some other reason that I don't know about of course
There is also no inferencing (to other points of the polygon) shown, I'm wondering if that is part of a snapping option ??
