Does this program work with Mojave?

What is the trick for selecting a path with its text?
They should be selectable as individual objects, or as two objects (Shift+Click) or Box marque.
If none of this works, try in the Layers panel by clicking (Shift+) on the small circles at the end of each object.

Also, shift click is doing absolutely nothing for me. It doesn't change the selection at all
Shift+click works here.

@jfraze Reinstalling is not needed, as you can reset the app to default by holding down Command-Shift-Option when starting the app.
But don't do this before sending the Prefs files to the developer, just in case it's something related to some setting there:
-
switch to the Finder;
-
click the 'Go' menu > Go to Folder…
-
paste this: ~/Library/Application Support/NumericPath/VectorStyler1.0/vector/data/resources
-
press Enter/Return.
-
copy these two files (settings.xml and workspace.xml) somewhere else.
Then you can reset the app and see if the issue is solved.
If it's solved, send the .xml files to the developer's email (csraba at this domain).

@VectorStyler Thanks. Yes, I'd discovered the layers panel method right after posting, but marquee select isn't practical since it selects everything around it as well, and shift-click isn't working in my installation.

Found a Preference option for "Select Text on Path Anchor." That seems to make it do what I want.
Weirdly, it also allows me to duplicate the selected object so that it appears in its correct place in the hierarchy, although I'm not sure why it has that effect. If I marquee select, it always duplicates or copy/pastes into that weird state where it sits in the top layer but is (dis)appearing at the bottom of everything.

@b77 Tried that. Now I can import jpegs without them turning into black boxes, so that's an improvement! I'm still not finding that shift-select is doing anything. Is this supposed to be with the Transform Tool or something else?
-
@jfraze Yes, Shift-click with the Select/Transfom tool (shortcut: V) works here. I hope you sent the .xml files to the developer.
The 'Select Text on Path Anchor' option indeed selects the text and its path, but then you always need to use the special 'Text on Path' tool to select and move just the text along the path — you can't do it with the Select/Transform tool.

Were the JPEGs imported into an RGB or CMYK document before app reset?
The document's color mode is set in Document Setup (File menu > Document Setup > Color tab).Also: are the imported JPEGs in RGB or CMYK color mode?
You can check this from the Finder > right-click the JPEG file > Get Info > Color Space: RGB / CMYK?
-
@jfraze Is the selection issue happening with a mouse/trackpad or a stylus?
-
@b77
Selecting with a mouse and full-size keyboard.There are no jpegs in the problem document. That was an earlier issue I'd reported. Some were grayscale, some were CMYK, some were RGB. None worked. I could only import eps files prior to the reset. Now it seems jpegs work as they ought, so I might be able to re-do the current problem file with a jpeg and see if that makes it small enough to email. Maybe some other issues are fixed as well. I'll keep an eye out.
At any rate, the reset did not fix the selection issue, or the layer display issue, but using the "text on Path Anchor" option has made all those issues disappear. No idea why but good riddance!
Everyone's been extremely helpful and I appreciate it.
