Could Split Text retain settings?

I LOVE the split text feature and use it often - every time I need to do a roster design or use a list of words in a design.
Is it possible to have "split text" settings be remembered for future uses? For example, I almost always use the "lines" option and only occasionally need the other two. When I pull up text split in a new file or after restarting VS, it reverts back to the "characters" default setting.
