Repeat shape around a centerpoint
-
I ended up taking this project over to Illustrator to do the last part - the repeated shape around the center point of the main circle in the design. I googled it to refresh myself on it, but it was pretty straightforward and might be worth imitating the simplicity of it in VS whether it's in it's own dedicated tool or as an extension of the awesome repeater tool.
In Illustrator I selected the shape I wanted to rotate and then selected the "rotate" tool in the vertical toolbar. I clicked the center-point I wanted the rotation to be based upon in the design and then a dialog box popped up and gave me the option to preview, to set the specific angle of rotation. Once I determined my angle, I just had to hit command-d to repeat last action and it filled around the space perfectly.
I can think of several other options I'd like to see in there - such as the option to set the number of items rotated around the circle. An option to let it auto-create all the steps until it gets back around to the beginning again.
I can see this being a natural extension of the repeater tool as long as it's easy to find in there as an option

It almost works in Vectorstyler. If I move the red dot below the shape, rotate it 2 degrees and then Ctrl+D it repeats the shape around the red dot, but there's an off-set happening somewhere along the way.
Maybe an option in the shape effects panel that a transform should happen with the red dot in mind. You can enter a rotate value there, but that does not take the red dot in effect.

Is this the one you are talking about or I could not get your point?

@Jayanta-Das Thanks for showing this. I had no idea that was in there

@Gremriel I am also learning and discovering as I am new to VS.
