      • Draw a shape with the pen tool (hand tracing scenario more than anything)
      • Some nodes are cusp nodes, I want to change them to smooth
      • Either press CTRL + A for all - or select a group of cusp nodes
      • Click smooth node toolbar button - or press the U key for that matter

Result: Only one node changes to smooth
Expected: All selected nodes changes to smooth nodes

@Ingolf did you check that they were not actually switched but didn't change their look? Currently a cusp node at a sharp angle won't look different just because you swap the node to smooth

@Ingolf Could not replicate this. What I tried:

          • selected multiple nodes with the Node tool, and used the buttons in the context panel.
          • changing from smooth to cusp changes the node type but has no immediate visual effect. The control points can be adjusted independently on the two sides of the cusp node
          • changing from smooth to cusp changed the node type and smoothed out cusp nodes that were not smooth.

If there is an example file, where this occurs, that could help replicate the problem.

As you can see here I had some success in the end, but the first clicks had no effect:

No effect unless I select for example cubic first then symmetric, to get all symmetric.

@Ingolf Got it replicated! The problem is that the segment must be curves to have smooth or symmetric corners.
Will add the automatic conversion of lines to curves for this.

Great news, thanks. Another symbol for cusp nodes would probably also help, personally I prefer when programs show nodes as squares or circles depending on the node type.

@Ingolf The next build will contain customization options for node type symbols.

@Ingolf This issue should be fixed in the new build 1.1.002 (beta)
