Can pasting an object go on front a selected object like pasting behind already does?

  • Could we have the option to paste in front of (command-v) or behind (command-b) a selected shape or stroke instead of automatically pasting it always on top of everything? Sometimes I want to paste an object behind one object but in front of another. If I select the back object and hit command-v, I would expect the paste would occur behind the front object because I have the back object selected already as a reference point. This is how it works with pasting behind (command-b)
If nothing is selected when the paste is made - then it would paste on top of everything in the front. Right now it does not matter if a shape is selected or not, the result is the same

@Boldline Paste Above should be in Edit -> Placing -> menu

  • @vectoradmin ok I can see what you mean - the option "Paste Above" has a key command just as "Paste Below" does.
