Repeater, be able to link values together

One thing I miss every time I use the repeater—and I don't
understand why this isn't possible yet.

Is the ability to link these values together so they can both be changed at once.
In the repeater, you always have to change each value individually, even when
you actually want to change both simultaneously.

@Subpath Great suggestion! I had mentioned this before as it applied the halftones panel. I ahdn't looked at the repeater panel. Seems worthy of adding that ability to link these values together across any and all applicable tools in VS. That would certainly be an ease of use of upgrade.

Well, I would actually say that this is long overdue. After all, why are there
panels where you can link values, yet panels like the Repeater—with its
extensive set of values—where that isn't possible? In that regard, it seems
stuck in the past to me.

It probably wouldn't hurt to take a general look at which panels could—so to
speak—be brought up to the same standard.

Since I used to use the repeater only occasionally, I did notice this issue but
ignored it as best I could. It was only recently, when I started using the repeater
more frequently for my color experiments, that I found it increasingly bothersome.

It often takes a while for a user to speak up, after all, because unfortunately, one
often only notices such things when using a feature more frequently.

@Subpath I understand you completely on that. Looking at the panels as a whole and bringing similar controls up to the same standard would be better than addressing the Repeater alone. If values represent two dimensions of the same setting, users should be able to link them wherever that behavior makes sense.

I chalk it up to Csaba being a solo developer doing a ton of tools and features and updates at record speed and some things happen to fall through the cracks and have to be addressed as they are found by the users. but that does not make your criticism any less valid. Many workflow issues only become obvious once a feature is used frequently.

There's a long list of improvements and ideas we've collectively shared with him over the years and he keeps adding them into VS as he can. If they're not already planned for and/or included already in the 1.4 update to come, I'm sure we can address them again.

I don't view this as criticism at all; I'm just mentioning what stands out to me.

I know the dev has a lot on his plate, and I'm totally relaxed about it. There's no
need for the dev to stress himself out over this; he should definitely take whatever
time he needs. At least from my perspective.

However, I do think that some form of standardization will be due again at some point.
After all, it also helps keep VectorStyler attractive to new users.

Interval ratio of the current value
Ratio for equal‑value cases

My idea: can we add a lock before performing parameter‑setting operations.

Would this be a sort of locking the current ratio, as in the Transform panel ?

@VectorStyler Yes,That makes more sense. If identical parameters are required, fill in the same values in both fields and then lock the ratio for easier operation.
