Is there a way to add one or more objects to an existing mirror/symmetry group?

@VectorStyler this is just a question.
Is there a way to add one or more objects to an existing
mirror/symmetry group?I've found/developed a way to do this. However, I'd like to know
if you've already integrated such a feature, or what your solution
would look like?
-
@Subpath Layers panel, drag objects into the mirror group.
Or: double click to isolate, and draw / paste inside
-
-
@Subpath because a single object was repeated, not a group of objects. You have to start out with a group.
-
got it and it works this way
But not with a single object from the beginning.
That seems a bit curious to me.Okay, thank you so much so far. I'll experiment with it a bit
first and maybe get back to you later with more questions.

Perhaps this challenge could be overcome by revisiting how groups are made in VectorStyler? For instance creating a group from a single object (like how it's done in other software e.g. Illustrator and Affinity)? This group of one object is very convenient in many instances when designing.
For example, in Affinity, you can apply a linear transparency effect to more than one side only.
-
Create a single rectangle
-
Using the Transparency Tool, apply a linear transparency
-
Group the rectangle
-
Apply a linear transparency to another side (this time the transparency is now being applied to the group)
-
Even after this you can still keep on creating more group levels from this single object and apply effects as required
It's even possible to add more objects to this group(s) if you edit in the isolation mode.
Note that all the effects disappear when you ungroup.

@William-Kansepa , interesting
I don't see a big problem with that, since it's always easy to
use a kind of dummy group (without colors).
Or to plan a bit in advance. Alternatively, it is always possible
to use multiple mirror groups.By the way, one way I found to add more objects to a mirrored single
object works by first creating a Symbol of it.Then you use that Symbol and mirror it. Afterward, you can replace that
Symbol with any objects or add more by selecting the objects and using
the "Replace Symbol with Selected Object" button in the Symbols panel.
