Apply style before drawing
-
Using the pen tool, how can I tell the software to use a certain style BEFORE starting to draw? I don't want to change the style AFTER the line is drawn.

If no object is selected, the color and stroke panels (as well as other styling panels) will set the default style for the next object.
But, if you select an other object after drawing, the default style will be updated from that object.
There is an option in Settings -> Selection -> "Update Default Styles", that can control this style updating from selection behavior.

Thank you for the quick response. But it seems not to work properly as you described.
I draw a dotted line. Then NOTHING is selected. Then I want to draw a solid line, so I select solid from the panel, but I get a dotted line again.

I will try to replicate this.

Yes, it seems that some of these options are not set for defaults. This will be fixed for the next build.

Thank you very much.
I purchased the software and I find it absolutely awesome.
I'm looking forward for a next update.
