Simple Inferencing
-
If I wish to draw say a rectangle with the pen tool in any of the other graphic apps from say Sketchup to AI, I click the mouse, hold the shift key to constrain the line, click again to end the line, shift constrain to get the vertical, click then shift to constrain again - and here's the issue, VS doesn't show an inference line (or a halo around the start point) to indicate where the rectangle started so that it can be closed correctly.
I'm assuming that it's some issue with snapping (perhaps even finger trouble at my end, but that couldn't possibly be the case surely ), but I can't find a setting where I can ensure that the closing of the rectangle will produce one with 4 x 90deg.
Normally, hovering with the pen over the start of the (say) rectangle will kick in the inferencing and display a horizontal/vertical guide, but I can't get that working at all.
Any thoughts ???Neil

@Igull Are you saying that when drawing the third segment of the rectangle the app should display
a horizontal/vertical guide so that you know where to click for the corner to be inline with the start
of the rectangle?

@Igull Well, I agree that is needed.

@Igull Added this to the backlog.
