    Pen tool overshoot at times even with mouse

      I am running into the occasional issue with the path overshooting instead of stopping at the node last placed. In this example, I brought the black stroke over from the left side and was trying to make a node at the right edge of the blue area. (#1 in the screen capture) it made an overshoot instead... (#2 in the screen capture)

      I was using a mouse and the default settings

      I attached the file.

        @Boldline Before this last node, there is a node that has a control point too far away. This causes the curve to overshot.
