What causes this node handle behavior and how do I best utilize it?
-
the node handle will sometimes change color and only move in one direction. As I am sliding this node handle, I am not pressing any keys on the keyboard to constrain the direction. I'm not sure how I turned on this feature and not sure how to turn it off. I'd like to know more about it overall.

@Boldline Looks like a smooth node is followed by a line segment. Not sure how this can be created now (converting node type will convert line to curve also). Could be a result of an import or pasting?

This vector shape in question was made completely within VS using the path brush, then merging the different path brush results into one shape and then modifying handles and nodes accordingly.

@Boldline Changing the node type (just after the selected handle) to Cusp should fix this issue.

yes that worked - thank you. This reminds me a little of the feature you added a few months back that involved using the spacebar to change the properties of node behavior.
Is that still within VS? If so, is it in the documentation?
