How to confine text in multiple lines on a path?

Dont want to define a new circular path for each baseline.
Been through the Text on Path dialogues in menu and panels, but cannot figure out how to make multiline text on path. Can only get there somewhat with "Bent", but type then distorts
Can someone help me with the procedure?

Options to change from the default:
- in Multiline, select Expand Path mode
- set Shift on Expand to 0
- uncheck Alternate Direction.
But the lines will advance outwards.

Very nice, thanks -- yet how do I prevent line 1 swapping line 2 when confining text on the "inside" of path hence altering word order?
