Boundary Command Issues
-
@vectoradmin,
A couple bugs in Boundary Command:
- After clicking on the Boundary Command Icon, you SEE the resulting Boundary on the Artboard, BUT as soon as you move the Cursor away from the Boundary Command Icon and towards the Artboard, the Boundary “instantly” goes away and you see the objects in the pre-Boundary Command status. It’s like you never executed the command.
It doesn’t show up in History or in Undo/Redo (again, it's like it never existed), but you could definitely see the created Boundary as you were still "hovered" over the Boundary Icon after clicking it. It didn't seem to be "time" based, because if you didn't move your cursor away from the Icon right away, it still seemed to remain visible on the Artboard.
FYI, this problem is not brand new, I've had this happen in prior versions to today's releases (1.0.040 and 1.0.041).
- Exclude Last Option is not always working correctly. After executing the command, It often "results" in a Boundary that you expect to get when using the “Creates a Filled Boundary” Option.
This occurred as I was experimenting with all kinds of Option combinations, with undos, deletions, redraws etc.. A host of things.
With the new update, it's too soon (haven't tested it enough) to see if there are other/more issues.

@Vector-Rock Could not replicate (1). Is the Preview Shape Combine enabled in Preferences -> Document Editor section?
As for (2): this refers to the Exclude operation, not the boundary.

Yes, the Preview Shape Combine is enabled. Good thought on that. That certainly explains Boundary being viewable on the Artboard when clicking on the Icon.
I'll keep experimenting to see if I can find any pattern of when issues are happening.

@vectoradmin,
I follow you. Certainly not the most elegant way to handle it, but at a minimum you might want to put some type of Horizontal Separator line of demarcation between the Boundary Options and Exclude option. Maybe you will come up with a more cosmetically appealing way to set them apart.
