New "Quick pen tool" in Illustrator beta form seems to have features that tie in with potential arc tool in VS
-
I was watching videos of Illustrator's new beta pen tool called the "quick pen tool". I was wondering if these features could/should be combined with the upcoming arc tool?
I hesitate to bring up ideas right now because I know @VectorStyler is feverishly working to complete 1.3 and I don't want to add any pressures or force reveal any surprises at all that he wants to keep secret until release.

@Boldline I will get back on this a bit later

Hiya @Boldline: That's just a spiropath with an additional ability to create straight line segments. Good one. But fuck Adobe.
-
@Daniel I am no fan of Adobe - believe me! I've refused to purchase anything from them since they went to CC. I've only kept around my old copy of CS6 for the rare occasional need that VS could not accomplish
I know you've shared a lot of good ideas with @VectorStyler about this topic. I get a little lost keeping up with all the different potential tools. I figure if I just post about the kind of things that interest me that we could include, @VectorStyler will be able to figure it out!

@Boldline this one reminds me of arc tool in boxysvg app.

@Kumr: Thank you! We had a very elaborate chat on all the different splines under the title of Bezigon Tool. I love BoxySVG. Another solo developer just kick ass. I hope it always remains free. Also, the SVG that BoxySVG produces are incredibly clean. I mean the script is clean. I cannot say enough about it how thoughtfully put together BoxySVG is.
Edit: I see it has become a subscription-based project now. $7 per year is still not much. Maybe I remembered wrong that it was free.
@VectorStyler: I know I mentioned this before, but please see how BoxySVG provides interactive response when you try to move paths. It highlights the curve segment in blue. It's wonderful!

Looks like the Mac and PC and Linux are still one purchase and web version is a subscription.
