How do I get artboard back to normal

How did I manage to get the checker patterned dark background in VS' viewport instead of normal dark canvas with bright artboard, and how do I get it back to normal (like the one at the right)?

Update. Found the reason:

I had pressed the opt-cmd-G combination Checker Board
