Modify Gradient Numbers with Keyboard

I would like to request the option to directly modify the gradient values using the keyboard. For example, when clicking on a color stop, it would be very useful if I could double-click to enter a numeric value, or have the number field always appear when selecting a stop. This would make adjusting gradients more precise and faster.

Currently this is possible with the gradient tool (from the toolbox), if you double click a color knob.
