New Artboard moves touched locked Object
-
I notice that when I create a new artboard that touches a locked
object, the object is moved along with the generated artboard.
Even though it's not actually selectable because it's locked.
I had one case where this was definitely unwandet.

@Subpath Yes, this is done by design. In the artboard options there are checkboxes to enable/disable movement, scaling or rotation of objects inside or touching the artboard.
It can be disabled, but it will also affect unlocked objects.
The reason behind this is that if the user wants to move the artwork with the artboard, then it should also include locked objects, otherwise the content breaks.

Thank you, I thought there was a reason for that.
Now that I know, I can take care of it myself.

@VectorStyler Actually, I feel that the drawing boards shouldn't be overlapped. It doesn't seem to make much sense.

In most cases yes. But it can also be used to cut for export or print different parts of an artwork, with some overlap or rotation.
