Bending and Arching editable text objects fails

I cannot figure out how to make text distorted with Shape. Only the frame seems to be affected. What am I doing wrong?

@Raaskot That is a text frame. In this case the effect will bend the frame, not the text.

To bend the text you must use text shape (a.k.a point text).

Ah, I confused "Convert to Shape Text" with "Convert Frame Text to Path". Thanks!
