      I'd like to vectorise a (complicated) png drawing in VS. None of the pre-settings are satisfactory, but in addition the "photographic" option results in a white background and I don't know how to remove it?

        @Pat In the Image Trace panel menu there is an "Ignore White" and "Ignore Transparent", enabled both (these are disabled for the Photographic preset).
