Is there a way that I can align/arrange shapes in a grid?

Here is an example how it is done in Inkscape:

Thx for your reply. Then working with the grid and guidelines will do it for me, when I have to work precise. And I saw that there is the possibility to 'transform each' object in the selection, that won't give me the same result, but gives me the room to change the spacing between the objects.

did you know that the Repeater in VS offers
            also some possiblities ?

            here a Video

            CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X, 6-core.
            GPU: Nvidia Geforce RTX 5070.

@Subpath The arrangement in the Repeater does not support preserving the original arrangement.
Using the Repeater without considering preserving the original arrange is not a problem.

However, @FastVector I understand, as I also have the same requirement.

@VectorStyler Adding an option to preserve the original arrangement in the Repeater would perfectly solve this issue.

@FastVector Using the alignment panel is also possible, but it is too slow.

@Li-Xiao @FastVector @Subpath I think for this one we need a separate feature, similar to alignment, but for grids.
The repeater does a lot of other things and it is not suitable for this kind of tasks.

Found "Block Stretching" in Alignment Panel, also new to me
but looks kind of helpful for such a Task in the meantime

Sometimes the order of selection matters, so keep an eyes of that

@Li-Xiao @Subpath Thanks for all the videos. That helps me a lot in getting to know Vectorstyler better.

@Li-Xiao Yeah the alignment option I used that one in the past a lot. Slow, but it gets the job done. And when you have the time, it is a sort of relax to do 🙂

@Subpath didn't dive that deep already with the repeater. I did just made a halftone image. But It is looking awesome. Still a lot to explore.
