I created an artboard which is a direct child of "Artwork Canvas" (just for the heck of it). It seems even though this artboard have grid settings, the grid doesn't show unless the artboard is a child of a canvas which is a child of "Artwork Canvas".

In the attached image, the artboard AB2 is a direct child of the top level canvas "Artwork Canvas". Even though I set the grid and it's enabled, it doesn't show.

However, the artboard "Artboard1" (the original artboard that is created with the document) does show the grid.

So why is this? Do artboards have to be part of "Canvas1" which is the child of "Artwork Canvas" in order to see the grid?

@pentool Not sure how the grid was set up, send me the file.

I attached the file with a similar structure and that artboard shows the grid: 0_1690266589236_artboardgrid1.vstyler

Thanks, I was able to recreate it so it works fine. Not sure what I have done wrong initially.
