Alter a Symbol or Symbol Preset

Learned that Pattern Brushes uses Symbols.

Now I want to alter a Starting Symbol in a Pattern Brush.
Is it somehow possible to alter the Symbol or Symbol Preset and update the Brush? Or do I have to make a new Symbol.

@Ayo Drag the symbol from the Presets panel to the canvas, modify it,
re-group it if necessary, then create a new symbol.

@Ayo Another way to have the symbol available for editing, is to use object roles (Pattern Brush Content role) on a group.

Then the group on the canvas can become a pattern brush content, and still remain an editable group, automatically updating the pattern brush.

BTW: why is outer glow not outer?

@Ayo You mean the 'Inner/Outer Glow' effect?

Here it is set to 'Outer' mode by default, and if you need it set to 'Inner' mode, click this checkbox:

Yes and found that but the effect affects also the inside of a shape.

@Ayo Ah, got it. Could be a bug with the Dilation value, not sure.

@Ayo yes there seems to be a bit of smoothing inside, can be replicate here also.

I added this to the backlog of bugs.
