I have a file with several artboards. Is it possible to view only the layers of the objects on the specific artboard I'm working on (creating and modifying objects)? Thanks ☺

Not possible. In VS the canvas contains the layer hierarchy.
Artboards are just guides, regions of the canvas, for printing or exporting.
A similar model is used by AI.

One solution for this is to use only a few artboards per canvas and use multiple canvases (VS supports multiple canvases in a single file).

@VectorStyler Ok then I need to go deeper into this & understand how theses canvases really/practically work... but what if I need to compare design/schemes/graphics between artboards & eventually copy/paste some objects ?

I know there are specific artboard for symbols/references/etc. but they can not be set side by side, are they ?
          Thanks

It is possible to open additional views of a document, with each view showing a different canvas.
