      I've noticed that all features are not functional when applied on grouped objects, by design ?:

      1. on individual object, preserve alpha works:

      1. on group, it only works on the lowest object

        @Pat It should be functional on the whole as a group, so this seems like a bug.
        Send me the file, I will try to replicate it here.

                @Pat Got it! It actually works as it should: in this case the Alpha (of the group) is the boundary of the whole group, which is almost the same as the lowest object (except inside the smallest V).

                What happens inside a group (between the objects) is already composited so those margins will not be preserved.
