I was using the pencil tool today and the fill and stroke are both active even when I try to turn off the stroke and leave just the fill. (I have it set to allow fill with pencil in the settings) Is this something that can be allowed for those who want the option of just a fill and no stroke? I know if goes against the "rules" of a pencil but it's a common technique in illustrator and had been discussed a few times in the forum over the last couple years.

Would it work to allow the user to turn off the stroke in the contextual menu bar and have it maintain that setting? or add it as an option in the pencil & brush panel?

It doesn't bother me at all if the default settings for pencil remain stroke and no fill. Users who want the other option could change the setting in preferences to allow fills with pencil and then have the choice further to use one or the other only.

@Boldline Preferences -> Changing Options -> Filled Shapes with Pencil Tool (left column of checkboxes).

@VectorStyler Thanks - yes I have that option active in preferences already. the issue is the pencil tool is not allowing a fill-only. It always uses fill and stroke together. If I turn off the stroke in the contextual menu bar, the next time I use the pencil, it reverts back to fill and stroke together.

@Boldline It does allow fill only here.

This still is occasionally a problem, even in build 83. Restarting Vectorstyler fixes it. I’ve not been able to narrow in on what makes it change just yet

@Boldline I will try to find out what could cause this.
