VS doesn't seem to have Superselect / Subselect commands in its Select menus. In some other apps they are called Select Parent / Select Children. Or Select Container / Select Contents.

Superselect should select the object(s) which contain the currently selected objects(s). That will usually be a group but may be a blend or a clipping path.

Subselect works in the other direction, selecting all objects inside the selected objects(s).

The layers panel can always be used for simple object hierarchies, but not if you have many items selected.

Does VS have these commands hidden somewhere, or can they be added?

@Raven Added to the backlog, should not be a difficult thing to have.
