In my portfolio blog, the progress sequence of my first realistic vector portrait in VectorStyler can be seen. I did not use the the Mesh Gradient Tool to create it, but separate objects (many of which are clipped and given image effects), in order to make editing at a later point in time less difficult. Whenever a new stage is reached I will add a screendump in the blog entry with comments on what was done to create it. When the portrait is completed I will post the .vstyler-file in this forum for users that are interested in how it was made. For now I still have many things to figure out. Check it out at: https://communicats.blogspot.com/2022/10/exploring-vectorstyler-part-ii.html Clicking on one of the images in the blog, will show them in Google's lightbox, that allows to scroll through them using the mouse scroll wheel swiftly for comparison.

Click the link below to see the current stage of the portrait (the 15th, as of November 6 2022), that I will update as I progress, in spite of the challenge the drawing is presenting my very old computer:

My computer is too old to continue for the time being and I ordered a new one. Newly added areas such as the blouse and hair details just did not render properly in this tenth stage. Description of what I was in fact able to do, I described in my portfolio blog. I will continue this project after the new rig has arrived.

The link below leads to the vector outline of the 15th stage, drawn on November 6 2022:

@Subpath In the future I hope to be able to make video tutorials, but at this point I am still unfamiliar with video editing.

I don't remember if you work on PC or Mac. If it is on PC then I can recommend
a nice little Tool for Gif Screen recording.

It's called "ScreenToGif". No real video editing but a few things can be easily
recorded with it. So to speak as a starter 🙂
