Occasionally buggy interactive transform markers
-
Hello,
every now and then I notice that when I try to interactively transform an object and mouse over one of the markers the regions that separate the different transforms ( rotation, scale, skew ) seem to be too small or off in a similar way. That shows itself by the mouse pointer constantly switching between their indicators, preventing me from properly focusing on one. This usually causes me to use one of the specialized tools ( scale tool, rotate tool, etc. .. ).
I couldn't reliably replicate this one yet aswell, since it doesn't occur all that often, but I'll try to and will edit here if I can.
-
@Nils What is the size of the selected object in these case, and what is the zoom level.
When the onscreen bounding box is small, some "zones" of the transform handles may overlap.
-
@Nils If you manage to replicate this issue, it would be great to use record.it to share a visual of this.
Also: what is the operating system you use (windows, mac, version)?
-
@vectoradmin I use Windows 10. I just noticed that it probably is related to the object being very small, but there is something else going on occasionally, because I just manipulated a very small one and it's getting harder there, but not impossible like when I encountered the problem.
Yes, i'll record if I can replicate.
-
For some reason record.it won't load for me. They're probably allergic to VPN.

@Nils Copy the address of the GIF image (https://i.imgur.com/HLADIiu.gif) and paste that instead.

@b77 I see, thanks. Btw, going to post a new bug related to artboard placing options now. Priority is probably low, though.
-
@Nils Is that a small curve selected? I'd like to replicate the issue. Can you send me a vstyler file?
-
@vectoradmin It's just a very small curve with a brush style on it. For reference, the "dashes" in that brush are about 4 px wide.
-
@Nils Let me know if this problem can be replicated with build 1.1.024.
What is the stroke width on that scaled object?
-
@vectoradmin Will see if it can still be replicated, don't know anymore what the stroke width was.
Btw, I just looked through the release notes and I'm shocked how much stuff has changed. I have seen software by large size companies having smaller release notes at this stage, lol. Absolutely mental.

@vectoradmin I've just tried replicating this with a 1 px ellipse and that failed. The handles also seem much more stable.
I'll post here should this reoccur.
