Exporting VS file as an EPS results in an error

I was trying to export the VS file as an EPS file and I ended up getting a postscript conversion error. You can see the error message below. It mentions "pdf" which confuses me some because this is supposed to just be an EPS file (unless I'm missing something)
Here is the video of my attempt and you can see my export settings. (I was repeating the steps from prior for the sake of the video that is why I got the warning and copied over the original exported file)

Would it have anything to do with vectors extending beyond the artboard?

@Boldline I would delete the nodes outside the artboard, export as EPS and report back.

@b77 Just tried again with nothing extending beyond the artboard and got the same error message result in VS.
I tried opening the eps file in Illustrator to test it and it gave me an error "This operation cannot complete because of an unknown error"
