Sliders default values

Hi,
I think it would be a great idea at time saving feature if double click on a slider handle would reset it to the default value.

@Petar_MK I think this is doable. The main issue of course is the suitable defaults for various fields (and some fields may not have a suitable default).
Lets see what other feedback we can get on this one.

I second this.
I'm also not really happy how Sliders work in VS.
First, it's difficult to hit a defined value with them.
Second, as @Petar_MK already said there is no
default value where the slider would snap to.A Button to hold where a Slider Steps in 10% Steps
or so would also be nice.Found a Solution in the App "Concepts" which i found nice.
I don't know if it would fit in the conecpt of Vs,
You can define 4 values yourself, if you click on
the respective value the slider jumps to this value.
(with a doubleclick onto the Value Button/Field

I'm not opposed to improving sliders but I wonder if we are expecting too much from them? Sliders usually get us in the ballpark of what we are wanting a setting to be and the box showing the amount can be clicked in and a number typed in for total accuracy. The slider @Subpath mentioned looks cool, but it's also geared toward tablet use where keyboard input is limited.
My issues with sliders have been more on making them fit the task at hand. For example a slider that quickly jumps up into the 100's of something when 95% of your work requires a setting between 1-20. Modifying sliders to go slow in the early numbers and increase after that. There are a couple cases in VS currently where a slider may not even be necessary (I'll share my examples on that when I find them again in my daily VS use)
I'm open to ideas and appreciate that @Subpath has shared some with us.
Perhaps the best way to approach this is to bring up examples specifically and debate how to best improve them. @Petar_MK is there an example of a specific panel with a slider you'd like to see modified? Could we start with that?

i agree that the "Concepts" slider is made for tablets. But they are
also available in the Windows version of Concepts and they work
wonderfully also with the mouse. But apart from that, i also think
that a slider like in Concepts would be a bit too much for VS.What I miss every time I use slider in VS is some precise steps.
It's hard to get a definitive value just with the mouse movement,
in the end i have to type a value in the input field and press return.
So the slider wasnt that helpful.Just to take the slider for the stroke width as an example
moves from 2.17 to 2.41 .... and so on. I find these steps
unnecessary and think 2.0 2.5 3.0 would fit.
Or let it be 2.1 2.2 2.3
( I know it have predifined Values, its just an Example)You could also not move a slider with the the cursor keys
to get a better control like in Affinity Designer.For starters, I guess a snap-in position
for a default value would be good.And key to hold e.g. the "control key" to move
a Slider in a practical number of steps.And yes, if we could use the cursor keys to move
a slider i would also like that.

I totally agree with @Subpath. I hope the we will soon get:
- Reseting values with double click on sliders handles;
- Snapping possitions;
- Cursor slider handle movment, and
changing numeric values with mouse wheel (changing decimals by holding CTRL?

@Petar_MK Resetting to a default value is useful for sliders with negative and positive values (-100 ------ 0 ------ +100, for instance).
Do you have any other examples with slider value types where you consider resetting is needed?
