Is this a group or bug?

For the shape in this file, choose 'Remove Content' from the Styles menu.
Well, that did work, thx, but a bug nonetheless.

@b77 Take a look at my case.
It would not be better if individual elements were automatically ungrouped?
The arrow is misleading because it suggests that there are several elements there

@Ingolf The developer would ask what happened here — were these objects made in VS or were they pasted from another app?
@encart I agree.

I deliberately only created and manipulated everything in VS. VS can be credited with everything that went ok or wrong.
I don't recall what I did but nothing exotic.

@Ingolf That is an empty group. How that can occur: in VS any object can become a group by double clicking and drawing inside of it. Also, groups can easily be assigned a shape.

https://recordit.co/BHX8llkmmzIn this case the two objects inside the group are united into a single object. That single object is still inside a group. Why: groups can also have their own opacity, effect, distortion, and shape on top of objects inside the group, so automatically ungrouping in this case could create problems.
The same type of single object groups may occur in Illustrator also.

This is going to happen constantly even after the smallest of operations (like drag and drop errors you undo instantly):
-
@Ingolf I will try to fix that.

@Ingolf This issue should be fixed in the new build 1.1.002 (beta)
