Currently toggling layer visibility (or lock) loses any current selection on the canvas and autoselects all the contents of the toggled layer. This was discussed in topic https://www.vectorstyler.com/forum/topic/4344/visible-selection-of-artwork-after-unlock-all-show-all/7

It can cause troubles, for example I'm selecting objects on layers A and B on the canvas, but items on layer C are in the way so I click to hide layer C. My current selection is lost: layer C is now highlighted in the panel and its contents are selected on the canvas instead.

This happens even if the Layer panel's "Select Highlighted" preference is Off.

It would suit me if either:
A - toggling a layer's visibility or lock doesn't activate (highlight) that layer in the layer panel (eg Adobe apps, Affinity, FreeHand)
B - or, the autoselection of the toggled layer's contents only happens if "Select Highlighted" is On.

Is there a preference which disables this autoselection behaviour?
