Moving multiple nodes in a clipping group object?
-
What you see above is a simple clipping group made from 4 nodes, and I have used shift-click to select two of them. However, when I then drag with my mouse from one of those selected nodes, the multi-node selection instantly disappears and only the node under the mouse cursor moves.
What am I missing? This behavior feels counter to literally every single vector editor out there.
EDIT: Just noticed that drag select works. However, drag select has drawbacks when there's lots of other nodes present... but perhaps Vectorstyler also has lasso select hidden somewhere?

Hmm... similar to the previous thread I posted (where I explained that I'm evaluating the software) I think I encountered another glitch related to this:
While I'm inside the clipping group editing, and have multiple objects selected, I can't drag on this stroke slider... it just disappears when I try.
So... I'm just on day one but right now, my first impressions are that yes, this app while seemingly powerful, is unfortunately rather glitchy.

@eobet Sounds like you hit the unlucky jackpot of finding the bugs on your first day! Not the best first impression, I get it. I use VS daily for all my professional work and can say there are not issues like this all the time. The application is constantly being improved and bugs are being squashed. There's also a limited pool of testers at the moment, so issues do pop up from time to time, or in your case, all at once! All I'm saying is that it gets better

@eobet I will need that example as a file. I could not replicate it here.

Same issue, I cannot replicate this. Was it in isolation mode?

@eobet Happy to see new people using VS. I would like to add to this, we all come to use an application like this with different interests. I am heavily focused on creating seamless patterns and their colourways. Very few others were exploring this, so I stumbled on quite a few issues when using VS expecting similar behaviour as found in other apps. They were all addressed (and for some things I need to wait for the upcoming version 1.3), and as more people were looking at these things, discussion around items happened too. So we are collaboratively working towards the best implementation and making VS better. As @Boldline said, it is really unfortunate that your first introduction to VS has been a rocky road, but please keep forwarding your findings so VS can be improved. Thank you so much for contributing!
