Layers Panel closing indiscriminately, intermittently.

The Layers Panel has been closing on me intermittently.
Sometimes when:

I click on something within the Layers Panel (Layer name, Visibility Toggle Icon, etc.)

When I have multiple documents open, Open the Layers Panel in one document, switch to a different document, then go back to the original document, the Layers Panel is now closed.
It’s hard for me to pin down what is causing this as it doesn’t seem to be happening consistently. Difficult to find an exact pattern so far as to when it will happen.

@Vector-Rock Is the panel docked or undocked? Are you using two monitors, or an external monitor?

Just accessing the Layers Panel by Panels>Layers and letting it open in the default location. Not detaching or moving it.
Apple 27" iMac only.

@Vector-Rock The settings.xml and workspace.xml from: ~/Library/Application Support/NumericPath/VectorStyler1.0/vector/data/resources/ contain the current settings and UI state (including some layer panel options).
Please send me these files. -
