      I've noticed over time that I am not always able to add a node exactly where I want it using the node editing tool and double clicking on a path or shape. I'll click on the path and nothing seems to happen, or a node gets placed farther away from where I intended it to go.
      It was happening again today and I decided to take a closer look and record a video of it to share. In this video you can see for some sections of the shape, that the symbol where the node will be placed is right next to the cursor itself as I would expect, but in other areas, it gets farther and farther away. Is there a reason why it acts this way that I am missing? thanks

        @Boldline
        Only adding nodes is inaccurate or is it also other node editing operations
        when this starts to happen?

        And if you close the file and re-open it, is the same thing happening?
        Maybe something is slowing the app after extended use (with that particular
        file or not) and adding nodes becomes inaccurate.

          @Boldline Yes, this could happen with certain curves (control points aligned on the curve, or retracted to the ending).
          Send me that shape, and I will try to improve this.
