Licensing - how many computers?

I'm curious about how many computers can I activate a single license, say if I have a desktop and a laptop?
If the license is only for a single machine, what happens if I get a new one? Can I move the license over to the new computer without any issues? Does this require an unregistration of some sort from the older machine?

You can use the same license on several of your computers.
