Disable Guide Edit Option when Zoom View tool is active?

I have a number of guides on a project and each time I switch to the zoom view tool and drag on the screen to adjust the view, it inadvertently locks on a guide and moves the guide line itself instead. Currently, using the transform tool to click and drag does not affect the guides (this is a great feature), I'm wondering if the same should be true when the zoom view tool is selected?
