How to Snap-Align A Bitmap Image to The Left Side of A Text Object Using Mouse?

Drag the bitmap image and try to snap-align it to the left side of the text object using mouse:

I found it difficult to snap it to the left and right sides of the text object, but it is okay for its top and bottom parts. Are there some options to fix it?

dont know whats the matter with your Bitmap
but snap your Text to your Bitmap to the left side works

made a File with Text and a Bitmap by my self
works also with the Bitmap on Text
in all ways

@gotanidea Yes, this can be replicated.
This is caused by the individual shapes in the text object.

In the snapping panel, disable "Snap to Curve Extrema".

but as @VectorStyler wrote, disable "Snap to Curve Extrema"
