      Hi everyone,

I don't know if I miss something in the preferences but most of the time when I start to draw a new shape or I paste something it is created on the very top of the layers stack. I find it annoying since I have to move it afterward.

Is there a way to make it happen where I want, mostly (like I did in Affinity Designer) above the selected shape ?

By the way I once had pasting issue where every time I pasted, the shape went inside (!) a specific group, whatever I had selected before and even when it was hidden and locked ๐Ÿ˜•

@Devil-Dinosaur Go to the Select menu > Drawing and switch to 'Draw Above'.

        I didn't encounter the second issueโ€ฆ

@Devil-Dinosaur You also have a button for that in the upper right side of the window, so it's easy to switch:

This button would be handy - but can't seem to find it

@VectorStyler This option is awesome. I would think most people have a certain preference for this and stick with it for a while but may still want access for occasional switching modes. This is an example from my viewpoint, of a set of buttons that could be consolidated into one icon with a drop-down, like the current alignment panel at the top of the UI nearby.
