Can the creation of New Layer Not open Dialog Box Each time?

Would it make more sense to have the new layer button just create a standard layer without automatically opening the dialog box as well? I love all the options in the dialog box, but I'd rather double click on a layer to open the dialog box rather than see if every time. Would make more sense from an efficiency view because usually I don't need to change setting on every layer I make

@Boldline Yes, this can (and should) be done. I added it as a bug.

@Boldline No dialog shown by default when creating a new layer (or sub layer). Hold Option to use the dialog.

@vectoradmin This is great! I love the option to hold the option key if you want the layers dialog box to open for a new layer and also the double click of an existing layer to access it that way post-creation.
