from an image file using the "Background Content" Colorize option. At least it works<br />
if you create a clipped path ...</p>
<p dir="auto"><img src="/forum/assets/uploads/files/1789116489984-clipped-along-path-small-2.png" alt="clipped-along-path-small-2.png" class=" img-fluid img-markdown" /></p>
<p dir="auto">But it would be great if the "Along the Path" option in the repeater could also sample colors<br />
from an image file with an open path. The current limitation to a clipping path unnecessarily<br />
restricts the possibilities, in my eyes.</p>
<p dir="auto">Something like this does not work</p>
<p dir="auto"><img src="/forum/assets/uploads/files/1789116604706-vs-single-path1.png" alt="VS-Single Path1.png" class=" img-fluid img-markdown" /></p>
<p dir="auto"><img src="/forum/assets/uploads/files/1789116610232-vs-single-path2.png" alt="VS-Single Path2.png" class=" img-fluid img-markdown" /></p>
<p dir="auto">This and a little more are possible in Paragraphic.<br />
So just for inspiration: Here are some examples from Paragraphic.</p>
<p dir="auto"><img src="/forum/assets/uploads/files/1789116693941-para-single-path.png" alt="Para-single-Path.png" class=" img-fluid img-markdown" /></p>
<p dir="auto">Dont know if something like this could be work in VS but in Paragraphic it works even with<br />
multiple paths and vector objects along symmetry paths.</p>
<p dir="auto"><img src="/forum/assets/uploads/files/1789116738746-para-symmetrie.png" alt="Para-symmetrie.png" class=" img-fluid img-markdown" /><br />
.<br />
.<br />
<strong>Here a Video how to create this in Paragraphic</strong><br />

<p dir="auto">steps:</p>
<ol>
<li>create a clipped image so only the interesting parts are visible, this will be the region</li>
<li>set a name for this clipped image object, and select the Filter Image role in Object Options</li>
<li>In the repeater, select the Region colorizer, and edit its option (Edit Colorizer)</li>
<li>In the Region colorizer options select the object name given to the clipped image.</li>
</ol>
<p dir="auto">One problem with this can be that the area defined by the path of the repeater is used to determine the area for the region, so they are always center aligned.</p>
<p dir="auto">In the future I will try to improve this.</p>

<p dir="auto">Thanks for the File, looks interesting</p>
<p dir="auto">May i ask the needed steps to get this working.</p>
<p dir="auto">Should i select all three Objects ?<br />
The circle, the path and the Image File ?</p>
<p dir="auto">Or only the circle and the path<br />
and just set colorize to region ?</p>

<p dir="auto">But the effect can be achieved, by using a Region colorizer, and clipping the image into a rectangle that covers the size of interest.</p>
<p dir="auto">I will send in email the example.</p>
