Duplicate object with mouse and keyboard. How?
-
Hi! It`s pretty standard in windows to duplicate and object to select the object and drag it, while pressing the "Control" key. In Inkscape you do this with "Ctrl+D" (that is pretty weird imho). How can i duplicate an object with my mouse?
Self answer after trying: Using "Alt" instead of "Control".
I post the message anyway, i believe someone can found it helpful.I would love to see some videos explaining the most basic things of VS, that are not pretty standard -and is ok- but that make me lost and dizzy when trying to work with VS.

@marce When dragging with the mouse, hold the Alt+ key, this is standard in drawing apps.
Otherwise, the Control+D should create a duplicate of then selected object -
I use the methode @li-xiao mentioned all the time
if i copy objects in VS. I hate to use keys if i could
use the mouse to do it.Xara has one of the best copy procedure i found.
Just select a object with the right mouse button
and it will be copied, place the copy where you like it
and release the right mouse buttonVS copy method via the right mouse Button works pretty
well. Its similar how it works in CorelDraw.Btw.
Duplicate via Ctrl+D is different to a simple copy.If you duplicate a Object and move or rotate it
press Ctrl+D again will place addional copys
with the same distance. So Ctrl+D is helpful.
